Actual conversation yesterday:

Customer (first time speaking with him): "So what is the price?"
Me: (long 30 second pause) "Of what sir?"
Customer: "You know, the building"
Me: "Well that number depends on a few factors including the size of the building, the delivery location, and the lease duration"
Customer: "Just give me a ballpark for a standard one"
Me: "Sir nothing is standard in this industry. Everything is tailored to your needs. We have over 30 different size buildings. I need some more information on your needs..."
Customer: "Just give me a ballpark man"
Me: (knowing this is a tire kicker) "About $1300 per month"

I have not ever called a company for any product or service and asked for a random number over the phone and been willing to provide zero relevant info. I do not understand how people think this will work in their favor.
