I have four different pair of headphones; all used for different purposes.
Sony MDR-V6 at work - the sound quality is FANTASTIC, but they're not noise cancelling and the coiled wire would be annoying on planes.
Turtle Beach Ear Force XO SEVEN Pro for gaming - obviously special use for gaming, but they can also be used for phone calls; I like the features but headband is uncomfortable if you're bald
Bose Quiet Comfort - used exclusively for flying/travel; good quality, great noise cancelling, and I love they fold up in their own hard-sided case to prevent damage
Some Generic ear buds with a behind the head band for exercise and bus commutes - light and easy to carry without sacrificing too much quality
