Some of those plugs (mostly the ribbon cables) seem pretty sensitive so maybe I should just take the new one but mine still has the plastic film around the edge (like that's how new it is). Who knows where this recertified one has been or why it was returned to Vizio in the first place.
Either way, at least I have a TV in the mean time

Just take the "new" one, man.
Also, under no circumstances do you tell them that you "fixed" it and/or imply in any way that you opened that sucker up. Solid way to say goodbye to your warranty.
