I picked up Witcher 3 because I wandered into GameStop at the mall while Lauren was pulling off some compounding-coupon scheme to get a new pair of jeans. Played it all day yesterday and got pretty sucked into it. The universe it is set in is like a combination of LotR and Game of Thrones. Or just a considerably more violent Skyrim. I think the actual gameplay itself could still use some improvement, just feels like the character movements and interacting with objects is a bit glitchy, but otherwise it's pretty awesome. Approaching enemies at speed on horseback and using the momentum to cleave them right in two is satisfying enough to forgive any rough edges in the game mechanics.
I also saw that Battlefield 1 is NOT an Xbone/PC exclusive, maybe Xbox just gets first access or something, so that's good. Battlefield 1, No Man's Sky and the new Star Wars game are the 3 titles I'm looking forward to this year.
