I remember back in the day of flip phones (Razr-era) Verizon was installing their own shitty OS on everything, instead of letting the OEMs run their own at all. Completely ruined the phones.Yeah I completely agree! Like even visual voicemail, why round I pay for that when there are free apps I can download if it's really important? Phones might change but bloatware seems to be a constant every generation. I'll definitely report back after I snag one and give y'all my thoughts
Like, in this day and age do people really get a Verizon or AT&T $Droidtastic and think "oh yes, I will use AT&T Communicator instead of this button that says Email, and I would love to use VZW Navigator for another $9 per month, never heard of this Google Maps thing before!" and use/pay for the apps?
I'd slip in an "Apple > others" but even they give you apps that can't be removed entirely. At least they prevent carrier bullshit.
I think a Nexus is the only Android phone I could stomach, just because it's so non-BS and gets updates on time, yadda yadda. Very curious what you think of the S7 though, Lee. Reviews have it pegged as a really sweet phone.
