I'm writing a letter to my senator and rep and Gov. Warner to ask that this code section be reviewed and revised, suggesting we adopt California standards for noise. It's rediculous.
The way I understood it (exactly as was explained to me by two lawyers) is that if it isn't OEM-style, it is illegal. That is all I know and all I claim. Subjective? Yes. Lame? Yes.
