FWIW my parents were harley riders before it was cool. They still have their bikes, but dad's is an '81 FLH and what I don't get is why anyone would buy a new model. Sure his doesnt have all of those trickeries on it, but when you get right down to it, it's still a 1300cc cruiser, and he didn't pay anywhere near even 10k for it. I didnt realize they have gotten so high. I can remember back in the day some people had some 15 - 20k bikes and that was super expensive. They've had a bunch of bikes over the years, and have always sold higher than they bought.
