Finally got to look at this bike. The guy said he bought the bike new when all his buddies were doing it. He didn't have much experience so wasn't extremely comfortable riding plus is in the Navy and was traveling for recruiting all the time. He ended up sticking it in storage. The tags had registration from 08.
Odometer read 69 miles (lolz). For the most part the bike looked the part. It had the factory correct tires that appeared new. He said he had the gas tank replaced and fuel lines cleaned this summer. The forks, exhaust and brakes looked the part of a new bike. He said he hadn't had the oil changed, I would assume ever, which is no bueno.
I was surprised to see cosmetic imperfections. There was a scuff the size of a half dollar right above the mirror on the left side of the upper cowling. One of the stickers had a few little scratches on the same side. The engine cover on the right side had a few marks on it too. I'm not convinced these are all from moving the bike around in storage.
All in all, I didn't leave after looking at the bike feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
