Cody/Joey
The VP role has been very stagnant in the past. This year, to be honest, I think Matt did a great job in trying to assist Cody whenever he needed him. I can't even start to talk about the amount of things he had told me he did for the club, and I commend him for it.
With that being said...the power of the V.P. depends largely on the president. Cody, you have had a lot of leadership experience and (from what I'm told, I really can't say on the matter, so please don't take this the wrong way) were more comfortable doing most of the organization of the club yourself. This is all good and well, as you have a lot of experience planning events through your experience with Red Bull.
However, from my talks with Dan, it was agreed that this would be changed next year if we were both elected. It is much more efficient if two people (or even more of the officers) work as a team to organize events, as many of them require too many details to be handled by one person. For example we can explore what happened at the car show this year. Simply put...the event was unorganized. Cody, this is NOT to be put entirely on your shoulders. There really should have been more involvement from the other officers (though I know each did put in a great amount of effort) in pre-organizing every little detail.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Dan and I have the view that VP/President will merge and become ONE role that BOTH Dan and I will fill (though he will of course have the title, power, responsibility etc of the president). What is Dan's responsibility, will be my responsibility. What is my responsibility, will be Dan's responsibility.
