Welp, I got the car back on monday with a new expansion tank and everything running better than before. Unfortunately, my mechanic put in the wrong coolant, so I'm going to pick up another jug of BMW coolant and replace it this weekend (probably). My battery went kaputs yesterday, so I also got that replaced today too. I got a new gas cap (my second one) since the one I got from pelican parts was the wrong kind. Hopefully, this will solve the engine code issue, but if not, I have an ODII engine code reader on the way.
The contours that I got from DJ are going to Jake, and I"ll be switching to a square dsII set up to help negate the problem with camber wear in the rears by rotating tires.
All in all, everything seems (finally) sorted out. All of the rattling in the front end that appeared after I replaced endlinks seems to have disappeared completely, which I'm not really sure why. The car hasn't been driven for the past couple of weeks, so maybe that has something to do with it? Not really sure, but until it starts rattling again, I'm not going to worry about it.
Now I can finally focus on cosmetic stuff.
