Project 1966 Mustang Coupe

ScottyB Wrote:hmmm, big life purchase eh? i might know what you're on aboot.

what's your budget for a sorted classic? you mentioned you don't want to spend money on the stang but i'm not sure what kind of nice classic would be in a lower budget than what you're already dealing with, unless by classic you are really talking about a fun something or other from the 80's or 90's.

i love your car but its nice to know if you wanted to sell it, you'd probably get all your money back or more (yer in NASCAR country after all, boy). what all do you want to accomplish with it? i thought that aside from some comfort items it was a runner.
The plan was to dump another $10kish into it over the course of about a year or two, but as we all know plans change  Like I said I've got some other priorities to focus on now. I mean realistically, I would feel comfortable spending $15k on an already sorted car that doesn't have to stay in the shop for months getting restored. I still REALLY want a Corvette or a more modern sports car too, so I think indecision is starting to have an effect. I even thought about selling the stang and caddy and getting a C6 as a daily Tongue

But yea, it is definitely meant to be a runner. I would want to get the inside completely restored though so it's comfortable, new radio, gauges all working, etc.

Rex thinks I should drop the T5 and driveshaft into it, tune and then decide. I think that's a good idea, he thinks I could get my money out of it if I still decided to sell it.
