why would they need to use the hood, wheels & tips from a movie car? You don't get those when you get the car?

Well the hood especially was from the actual movie car. The wheels and tips were just repros.

See, the normal "eleanor/shelby" hoods that you buy on the aftermarket apparently do not have the movie (Foose) correct lines. He actually goes into some pretty dramatic detail for this.

Building a "movie car" isn't my thing, but this guy did an absurd job.
