Nice! That's how I have been racking the slide! And yeah I was under that assumption but I wanted to make sure. I don't know why you would manually load a round into the gun like that, it doesn't make sense to me. I just wanted to make sure by "slingshotting" the slide I wasn't damaging it in any way.
Still haven't been able to fire the gun yet
Probably will have to wait until next week. I have it locked and secured away in a safe and tactically sound location and have practiced retrieving and cocking it so that (like you said) it's in my muscle memory and I'm ready to go if it is ever needed.
