Dave Wrote:whats it do for the sound? I like the sounds Linds' TL makes, but would like to turn the volume up a little bit. Not for $450, but interested still...Usually jpipes don't change the sound much but since this one removes the third cat (most don't, ppl usually replace it with a separate test pipe if they want) it apparently sounds much more aggressive. A really cheap way to give the TL more happy noise is to weld in a Magnaflow resonator. The resonator was like $40 plus labor. I like it a lot, it sounds much more aggressive and not ricey. You can also replace the mid muffler with a straight pipe while you're under there and that sounds good too. Maybe $200 max depending on the shop. It's really only when you do precat deletes that it starts to sound ricey and raspy like a modded G35.
I'm doing this more for the mid range and low end torque than the sound but thats an added benefit. I may hack out that mid muffler too, I just really don't want too much rasp or drone.
