The Official Washed and Waxed Thread!

The Escape hadn't had much lovin' lately - and was in desperate need - so I spent a good chunk of time today on it. Looks much better now.



It got a wash, cleaned wheels and center caps (front brakes dust so bad on this), tire shine (!!), leather cleaning/conditioning, interior clean/de-dust, and polishing of the cloudy headlights.





I used Meguiar's PlastX on the headlights. Same stuff I use on my plastic rear window. It did do work on the passenger headlight (the worse of the two) but there's some more polishing to do. Driver's side was replaced a few years ago and looks far better.



Still need to fix this... common problem on these where the glue separates from the "leather" panel and it looks all droopy-like. That'll get done sometime soon. For now it looks like this:
