NEW STUFF! This is a copy of my post over on novajeepers. So just ignore the user name tags. I don't think anything is out of context.
I did some business with two NOVAJeepers members to get myself a new spare. Chris (cjchris) had a Canyon wheel he was giving away in the free section. I had been painted up black and looked rather silly so I decided to strip it and have it re-cleared.

It turned out great! Then Brian (my84cj) came to pick up the Congo Cage I had for sale and traded me a 31X10.5 15in BFG tire that matches my other 4. GREAT DEAL!

And pimp my rack continues. It has taken 3 weeks for Kargo Master (via Quadratec) to ship my mounting kit. I don't know if they sent it pony express from California or what, but it is supposed to get here today. SOOO in the mean time I got an axe and a shovel for up in the rack. Zach (lc619fr) hooked me up with the axe on long term loan. It is a 7lb truckman's fire axe. The shovel I had to go on an EPIC seach for. Its hard to find a fiberglass short shovel around here! Anyway, we found it at a small co-op store in a town 10 miles down the road. The only problem with it was the pitch of the blade. We had to put it in a press to make it flatter so it would not touch the rack.
So after that book of reading these are the pics. I use the bracket kit that came with the Congo Cage for mounting a basket to it to make my axe and shovel mount.
This was the inspiration.

This is what I started with.

This is the result! Worked out pretty slick.

Close up of assembly.

So anyway. I will post pics of the barn raising that will be the install of the rack once these brackets get here. Comments are appreciated.
