Project XJ
Well, I'm working on "pimp my rack" at this point. I just got my Hi-Lift jack and a buddy is hooking me up with a mounting bracket kit that was originally for a TJ bumper that I am going to use for my basket. The tire is ratchet strapped down and it started to come loose so I devised and built a new carrier for it. Here are concept and final pics. Only thing left to do is a little more paint.

Anyone here do the like bike hauling or whatever with gutter mounted rails or roof racks? I'm trying to decide how I want to mount the basket to the truck still. The stock cross bars are starting to come apart it seems so I need to replace them. My options are bracket kit for the stock luggage rack rails or a bracket kit for the rain gutters. They are the same price and rated the sale so its just a "how it looks" type thing. My basket is larger then the recommended size for a Cherokee...so I'm thinking the rain gutter might work and look better.

For Rain Gutters <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.kargomaster.com/files/instructions/RAINGUTTER_mount.pdf">http://www.kargomaster.com/files/instructions/RAINGUTTER_mount.pdf</a><!-- m -->

Please take a look and give me your thoughts. Look at the earlier pics of the stock rail mounting, that is almost how it will look, where as the gutter will put the mounting out to the sides more.
