I don't think Julie was calling YOU a whiner, just that there were ALOT of whiners in the tech shed on saturday. Whining about the scales, whining about their restrictors, whining about all kinds of stuff. One guy (grossly under weight) was all 'Well what am I *supposed* to weigh!?!?'
C'mon dude, you're racing here and you don't know what you weigh? Or what you're supposed to weigh? I mean, that's why we open the scales so early, and at VIR it is so stinking simple to weigh your car, just drive on and we'll give you a printout with your corners! There's no reason not to and definitely no reason to whine. (please note, I'm not talking about You, Ole) But I had guys who thought that a gallon of gas weighed 8 lbs (it doesn't) and guys "eyeballing" the amount of fuel they are adding.
At VIR I'll weigh anything. Want to know what your tire weighs? Bring it by. Want to know how much weight all the fuel left in your can will add? Bring it by, fill it, then bring the empty can to subtract.
Getting dq'd for a pound sucks, and I'm really glad those are Kaan and Mitchum's calls to make, not mine. But we don't like to dq people I much prefer to hassle people about their stickers.
