Even an average goalie would be good enough in this series, but even that looks like it may be a stretch. One can only hope he regains his form next game, because if it comes to starting Varlamov this series is over. Nothing against the kid, I think he's going to be very good for us in the future, but starting a rookie goaltender who has a whopping 4 starts in his NHL career (not to mention about 30 in his professional career) is not going to work.
To be fair though, a lot of the blame should go on the D after last night. Schultz got absolutely embarrassed, what a joke.
