Campy Record 10 shifters have always represented the pinnacle of awesome to me (don't anybody remind me that they released Record 11 at the end of last season)... but using them always meant switching to a completely new component group, right down to new wheels: not cheap.
I was digging around the intertoobs, though, and found this awesome metalpulleythingamajig:

It alters the cable pull ratio to make the Campy 10 shifters work with Shimano 9 gear. Way cool. There are other versions for other combinations... but it's definitely the coolest $35 piece of metal I've ever owned.
