I'm on a kick for buying stuff that I really wanted when I was in high school (motorcycles, the Jeep, bicycles [I've got stories about both frames that I bought and the wheelset], guitars, etc.). The nice thing about this kind of delayed gratification is that if I get the exact thing I wanted back then, it doesn't cost very much now.
Besides, it's cheaper than crack.
