See that's the thing, if they're not really well designed, they might not help at all. But the neck pillow area seems like an obviously good idea to protect from neck injuries, and if you were to hit something with your body, an airbag between you and the object reduces the G's felt by your innards. SHOULD help a lot if they're well tested. But are they?
$10-$15. They're somewhat proprietary cartridges. The good news is, at least for this company, it takes like 60 or so pounds of pressure to unlatch it, so it's going to be a good tug unless you're moving away from the bike with some authority.
