Yes....it is a huge advantage. Autox courses are not like those on track, you dont have good surfaces and most fwd and rwd guys are spinning off the line getting going. Typically taking a long time to get off the line. 1 second for the typical car, and 2 if your really balling on a straighter line course. Just because youve driven an awd dsm oh noes! one or two or even three times, does not qualify as knowing everything about them.
Yes 2 seconds is a stretch, but I have lost 2 seconds of time, just in the launch when ive messed up the launch.
