Some form of prior autoX or HPDE experience is required. Roughly at least 2-3 autoXes or at least 1 HPDE. No absolute n00bs, basically... but I look at such a thing on a case-by-case basis to be fair.
It's run like a regular 4-heat NASA-MA autocross with two sessions (morning and afternoon) each having their own reg/tech/meeting so you don't need to be there all day. There are no work assignments because we're hiring pro flaggers. One entry is $90 and gets you into a 2-hour heat which should provide ~10-12 runs each. Cars are sent out at approx 30-sec intervals. Any yellow or red flagging = rerun of course. And yes the flaggers will abort your run if you're getting too close to the car ahead (so you will most likely never see another car on track.) Instruction is not provided but is available at an additional cost. It counts for the same championship points as 2 regular autoXes. And the track is NOT slowed-down with cones.
So basically it's a non-novice autoX with no work assignments that happens to be much faster because it's on Patriot Course instead of in a parking lot. We've done three of 'em so far and they're always a blast.
Does that help?
Thanks,
Jon
