Nick and I have made several trips over to the 33 range and we thought it might be fun to bring MM along!
The idea: Combine a traditional MM scenic drive with a skeet shooting competition on the 33w rife range in West Virginia.
The time: After x-mas break. Those with guns, bring them back with you. It will be cold, but you will want the jacket anyway to cushion the recoil!
The most basic rules-
1. Bring your own gun if you can! It should be either 12 or 20 ga. and in good working order. Any style of shotgun is fine.
2. Bring your own ammo...100 rounds of 12 is $15 at Walmart. Must be number 8 shot "target/field" Federal or Winchester.
3. Your car must be able to make it to the range. The Sebring makes it if I go slow. The van can get to it going 35mph...
4. $2 entry fee to cover cost of clays.
We thought this would be a fun way to get MM members out and doing new things. We have possibly two shotguns that could be used as loans. We are shooting two at a time so even if you don't have a gun of your own, just buy some ammo and you can compete!
This at this point is a gauging interest thread, if we get at least 5 its gonna be a go. Nick and I made a deal that if we could get 5 to roll we would buy a thrower so the clays would be consistent. We will be posting up the rules and how it will be laid out if we get interest. Any feedback would be great!
