New Lotuses and Lambo @ Paris - G.Irish - 09-30-2010 I was never a huge fan of the Murcielago, but this is definitely a turn for the worse. I sincerely hope they get rid of those horrible two-tone accents in the front before production. Other than that, it looks pretty batmobile/stealth-fighter-esque, which is somewhat cool but at the same time revolting. I guess it's only a concept but I just hope that nasty two-tone thing never sees the light of production ![]() Technically the fact that Lamborghini is going for the less weight is mo' better route is pretty awesome. Lamborghini has pretty much never been about adding lightness until the Superleggera came out. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/motor-shows/paris-motor-show/8033096/Paris-Motor-Show-2010-Lamborghini-reveals-the-Sesto-Elemento.html Mo' Pics http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lamborghini-sesto-elemento-concept/ Re: New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - fiveoh2go - 09-30-2010
Re: New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - Evan - 09-30-2010 looks like "lets take a reventon and go crazy with it" or "lets use origami for prototyping" that said, I dig it (as much as I can dig any car that I will never own, drive, or probably even see) its over the top and crazy, just like a lambo should be (and it looks lots better than that new ferrari F series abortion) that pic is pretty unflattering, these are better ![]()
Re: New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - Apoc - 09-30-2010 It's no worse than anything Lambo has done since the Countach. It reminds me of an angular Exige. The paint is pretty silly though. Re: New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - D_Eclipse9916 - 09-30-2010 That is horrendous, and I love Lambos. One of my favorite cars of all time is a Murcielago LP640-4 in white. Re: New Lotuses and Lambo @ Paris - G.Irish - 09-30-2010 Lots o' Lotuses. I really like what they did with the Elan and Espirit, the Elise, not so much. The Elise kind of looks like the CR-Z to me. The Elan though seems like it'll be a solid competitor in its segment, although I imagine the 2849 lbs weight is dry weight and not curb weight. Still it seems like it'll be lighter than the 911. I guess it was "old" anyway but I really liked how curvy and sculped the elise was. this feels totally Japanese. Pretty, but not "Lotus" to me. the lambo looks like it's trying to relive Ford's concept car designs from the early 90's (newedge or whatever that design language was called.....see GT90 concept). I don't rely mind the more clean look of the new models but on the Elise it bothers me. It looks like a much cheaper car now. The old Espirit and Elan were both somewhat slab-sided so I can't say the styling is too much of a departure. Perfect analogy on the GT90. Re: New Lotuses and Lambo @ Paris - Goodspeed - 09-30-2010 All these cars look like diarrhea. The end. Re: New Lotuses and Lambo @ Paris - HAULN-SS - 09-30-2010 both the elan and espirit look like they got the front end off that one lambo Re: New Lotuses and Lambo @ Paris - Evan - 10-04-2010 The Lotuses (if you say Lotii Ill punch you) look pretty good, they just dont have much character. Like the NSX, or the new mclaren, they are devoid of soul. |
