USA - England tomorrow at 2:30. Good first match today between Mexico and South Africa. Gonna be a fun next month or so

The opening match was atrocious (in regards to the vuvuzelas), but I think I'm getting to a point where I can almost just ignore them during the games

That was a really lucky goal. We definitely played some aggressive offense, we seemed to be attacking a lot more than England was...but England was putting together much cleaner, skilled drives. You can just tell that England overall has more well-rounded players. We looked really stiff out there, but a tie is a good scenario for the US. Our next two matches should be easier.

Yep, they're a better team, but a draw is a draw... I'll take it! We're in trouble if we get to 16... we're clearly lacking some bits.

I'm not so sure this is true, obviously by no means do I think the US will win the whole thing, but winning a game (or even two) in the elimination stage wouldn't be out of the question. This is a team that has beaten Spain and just drew a significantly more talented English team and realistically could beat any team on any day (especially considering Howard in the net in a shootout).
That said, we could just as easily tank the next two games and miss the elimination round all together...but I do think this result should inspire confidence in the potential of this team.

We don't have any reliable scorers. We get Dempsey to put in something special every now and then. Aside from Onyewu, our defense is uninspiring... We're solid in the midfield (Clark might need to see the bench)... We're just too incomplete. And yes, Howard is a god.

Our defense is definitely the most suck part about our team unfortunately. Our midfield was looking pretty good.
