Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - CaptainHenreh - 08-09-2009 ![]() Monster 750 Dark 900 Front end, Ohlins rear shock, Remus CF high mount exhaust, large percentage of awesome. Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - .paul - 08-09-2009 awesome, congrats, i ahve been going back and forth with a sport bike or monster Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - NTIman - 08-09-2009 Damn my camera takes great pictures! It's in the garage, go start it and bask in the awesomeness. Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - BLINGMW - 08-09-2009 what a steal  I'd still like to buy it from you. Just tell me when you're done with it  questions: I assume the 900 front end was an upgrade of some sort... what's different about it? The high mount exhaust, does that remedy the full lean/clearance issues I understand those bikes have? Or are the pegs low too? Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - NTIman - 08-09-2009 I took a peak at it, I'll bask tomorrow when I'm more awake. Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - CaptainHenreh - 08-10-2009 BLINGMW Wrote:what a steal  To answer your questions, I give you a photo comparison. This is a stock M750 of my generation: ![]() and here's mine: ![]() So you can see the exhaust is a lot higher, it's also closer in to the bike. If I carried passengers, their legs would actually probably rest on the exhaust itself, but since it's Ricerchrome, it doesn't really get that hot. I don't think the pegs are that low, but really the only bike I have to compare is the chickenhawk, which might as well have had landing gear on the side. I would also like to draw your attention to the front wheel, where the stock bike has 1 disk on the left side, and my bike has a big ass wave rotor on both sides. That's the big difference. All the monsters have USD forks. Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - REED - 08-10-2009 that is all kinds of awesome, congrats Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - CaptainHenreh - 03-08-2010 FOR SALE :? Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - Apoc - 03-08-2010 You're being suspiciously quiet about your reasons. Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - Mike - 03-08-2010 trade + cash for a somewhat busted vfr? Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - CaptainHenreh - 03-08-2010 Mike Wrote:trade + cash for a somewhat busted vfr? I think I'm done with motorcycles for the foreseeable future. As far as my reasons, they boil down to: * - I'm just not that into motorcycling. It's fun, sure, and I like it well enough but I don't love it. Pretty sure I could have almost as much fun attacking a back road in the Speed3 as leaning through on a bike. * - Buying a house has put a big draw on our savings, and I'm not where I'd like to be financially. I'm not broke or anything, but I don't want to be put in a tough spot just because I wanted a toy. * - None of my other hobbies are likely to seriously injure me through absolutely zero fault of my own. It isn't a decision I came to easily or lightly, but I think it's the right one. Re: Rex's Good Bad Idea - Mike - 03-08-2010 i hear ya... bravo... i'm halfway there, but haven't been able to put enough riding in to know for sure
