Buy an ipod touch? - JackoliciousLegs - 11-07-2008 So, for those of you who don't know... 1 - I'm not with Hannah anymore 2 - I don't have a job anymore 3 - I'm leaving SF at the end of November... going snowboarding in tahoe for a month... then..... 4 - I'm traveling all over zee world. We'll see where I end up. India, south america, Thailand... not really sure... but not really up for discussion. Reed's coming for a bit to thailand :-) I leave at the end of December. So, I may do some contracting while I'm there. In that case, I'll take my laptop. Other than that, I was thinking of picking up an ipod touch to write quick emails while I'm traveling, and to check the web in internet cafes. Worth $200 for a NIB craigslister? Yay/nay? - Kaan - 11-07-2008 good luck! moving back east one day? - Mike - 11-07-2008 i think i'd prefer an eee for the added functionality of a real computer, but the touch should do the trick. - JackoliciousLegs - 11-07-2008 considering it... NYC is appealing. I'm not making any plans to end up anywhere though. - WRXtranceformed - 11-07-2008 I dont really like mine, but we've been over that before. I'd personally rather have a slim laptop. - D_Eclipse9916 - 11-07-2008 Hope nothing goes wrong. There was no mac support in china and a friend of mine had problems acquiring network languages with a mac. After saying that though I love mine. I am writing this on my touch ironically enough - Jake - 11-07-2008 If you have tech issues when you're overseas, you can always call Apple Care (they have local #s for each country) and they'll help you out wherever you are. If you already have a "regular" laptop then I'd say the touch is a good investment for the quick internet stuff. Plus, there's all the apps you can download to it and some are pretty cool (and free). - Feersty - 11-07-2008 Jack it sounds like you saved up waiting for this to happen? Come to San Antonio, low cost of living here! - JackoliciousLegs - 11-07-2008 I guess that first post sounded a bit depressing... ginger imed me all worried. Life is *grand* and I'm finally getting to do the traveling i've been putting off since I graduated :-) That is all... - JohnC - 11-07-2008 I bought an iPod Touch prior to doing lots of traveling - love it. - JackoliciousLegs - 11-07-2008 Feersty Wrote:Jack it sounds like you saved up waiting for this to happen?
