From what I saw on Ebay last night 21k is a steal. Put this bad boy on Ebay and get 27-28k for it.

I literally meant that I don't get it. Why would somebody pay that much for a car that is 20 years old and from what I can tell has nothing really special about it.
I'm happy to learn what the appeal is, if somebody will lay it out there. Does it have some marvelous engine? Super-rare sports car? Broken some kind of record?
I guess I look at it in the sense that my Supra was in showroom condition and meticulously maintained, came with a ton of extra parts, well-documented, and is extremely well-known, yet asking 18k was a stretch and took a long time to sell... How does this car sell for more than that and, to me, is just another Benz?

there are lovers of all makes and models, dave. i'm sure to some guy this is like a supra to you... or an s2k or civic to me. hell, i'd admit that i'd pay what might seem like an arm and a leg for a showroom condition hatch. and the benz lover would think we're both crazy.

That's what I thought you meant, Dave, and I see where you're coming from. I think you summed it all up nicely, though, with the last statement in your post.
To you, it's just another Benz. To someone else, though, it's a special car. On top of that, this particular one happens to be a close-to-spotless and completely stock version of that special car.

Search 560SL, filter so its only showing cars, sort by mileage.

this is an immaculate car and i'm sure worth every penny for an MB enthusiast or collector.
