WTF? 2009 Maxima - Andy - 03-18-2008 Someone defend this front end. Makes the new CRV look like an Aston Martin ![]() http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/18/new-york-08-preview-2009-nissan-maxima-leaked-on-forum/ - Sijray21 - 03-18-2008 i don't think it looks that bad at all... could be worse: =
- mrbaggio - 03-18-2008 Yeah not the worst. Looks kind of like the newer Evo with the square grill openings - Ole - 03-18-2008 I dislike the pointy headlamps but I guess every new car has that now. I personally think one of the most classic front-ends was the 79 733i - Apoc - 03-18-2008 I actually kinda like it. the irregular headlights are a bit strange but I've seen far, far worse. Looks way better than this if you ask me.

BAN!!!! - Goodspeed - 03-18-2008 It looks like a front end design meant to conform with that MY2009 front end pedestrian-collision redesign mandate...I've seen some concepts from BMW that look far worse in order to comply with the new EU safety standards, they make cars have long, low, thin snouts. Either way the Nissan looks pretty terrible. I wonder if it is Europe-bound? - CaptainHenreh - 03-18-2008 Goodspeed Wrote:I wonder if it is Europe-bound? Well, considering that Renault is trying to move to cross-platform cars, I'm gonna say yes. - Ole - 03-18-2008 Goodspeed Wrote:I've seen some concepts from BMW that look far worse in order to comply with the new EU safety standards, they make cars have long, low, thin snouts. All time favorite BMW long, low, thin snout.
- Andy - 03-18-2008 [quote="Apoc"]I actually kinda like it. the irregular headlights are a bit strange but I've seen far, far worse. Looks way better than this if you ask me.[quote/] you've lost your mind if you think the maxima is better looking than the cts - Apoc - 03-18-2008 I guess I am downright crazy then. If I were buying a car, I would rather have that Maxima than a CTS. I don't really know why but the CTS is just plain ugly to me. - Ole - 03-18-2008 I guess what really makes me think it is not so eye appealing is the way the hood rises at the side edges all the way up to "A" pillar. - ScottyB - 03-18-2008 practically everything but the fender bulges ![]()
- Dave - 03-18-2008 Thank you Scotty, that was the first thing that came to my mind... - REED - 03-18-2008 ahhh man I knew it looked familiar, I just couldn't place where - Feersty - 03-18-2008 I see Q45 when I look at that one. - Evan - 03-18-2008 the new CTS gives me a boner. other than the tumor growing off the maxima's headlights, i think it looks good. - Ole - 03-18-2008 Note to self: Stay away from Evan when a Caddy comes by......... - drivesideways46 - 03-19-2008 It looks kind of GTR-esque to me. Maybe Nissan is trying to brand all their new cars with trademark styling elements? |
