Does anybody else remember when the :?: icon was reserved for extremely off base and indecipherable posts by a long time member?
These days if one person posts something that somebody else doesn't appreciate, but can full well understand, the icon is thrown up with merciless abandon. Whatever happened to the good old personal attack? When did we stop saying "WTF?" and making harsh, critical post-attacks that actually explain the problem with the original post?
I, for one, will be boycotting the frequent use of such a once definitive piece of MM folklore.

yeah the Great Hate was definitely a defining moment in the history of smack talk and call outs on the MM forums. i think it's slowly coming back though.
i'm just not happy with the fact that people put so little into their responses sometimes. the :?: is too easy. it worked well with Feersty though, because his posts are usually only a few words.

It's not like nobody understood what the OP meant. I don't even feel ike the :?: is applicable at all... there's no way anybody was so befuddled by Lee's intended joke that they actually had no idea what he meant. How about something a little less suck like "man, a loss of life is nothing to laugh over and, btw, it's not prounounced the way you think it is"
If you're just going to post "you're retarded" that's pretty much just as dumb.
