DC Auto-x: August 8 who wants to? - Sijray21 - 06-23-2004

Registration isn't until July 18 at 8pm, but just checkin to see who wants to do this up. I tried registering for the July 11th one but it got booked pretty quick.

The details are at the website.

Word, I'd be in most likely... Good chance to try out the new suspension and rollbar Tongue Well, I don't really want to try out the rollbar... But you know what I mean.

I'm giving it a good look. I want to get my suspension soon so we'll see if I can get those ordered before then.

just a reminder you HAVE to register at 8pm. The last event filled up in 12 minutes, my class SM filled up in 8minutes. You guys should have made it out to the July 11th one. We are going to be on the 'big' lot and run a National Tour course. Oh and I'll be on R's!

awesome event, i wish you guys could've been there. A lot more organized and swift moving than i'm used to.

Hopefully the results will be posted in the next few days.

Also met up with John (Buttdyno) and some other suby-heads.

learned a little more of the car and the limits of the tires/car.

That place was also Mini-central....something like 40 minis or so.

Long/not-to-tight course too.

- ButtDyno - 08-08-2004

Hey, good meeting you Jason. The results are usually posted (!) same day, worst case Monday night. The WDCR is on top of their shit.

Usually there's more Subies than that, it's rare that the Minis outnumber us Smile

representing for MM

thought i did fairly well on my last run i tried to reduce the massive amount of understeer drift i had going on and the falkens finally got softer.

First run i tried taking it easy since a ton of people were going off course and the complicated first part of the event (2-crossovers in first part = lots of cones)

Good Points: i progressively got better times, i was able to reach my goal of getting under 65 seconds. I'll see if i can scan in the course map.

Any tips on auto-xing that can be of valuable use on the course?

- ButtDyno - 08-09-2004

I'm not qualified to offer advice, unless it involves four wheel drifting, in which case I say "just keep the gas pedal planted"

Fun event even tho almost all my friends smoked me.
