WTB: Old Game Systems - Mike - 06-15-2007
Specifically looking for a Saturn, a Dreamcast, an NES (my two have broken), a Jaguar a Genesis, a Master System, and a 3DO... Oh yeah, a Neo Geo couldn't hurt either, but I'm guessing none of you have one of those
Will pay bottom dollar that they go for on eBay unless you have extra peripherals or something... It saves you the hassle of having to find a buyer and ship it

Sold it... I sell all my systems while they're still worth some money and then buy them back when they're worth nothing

a friend of mine had almost all the classic systems on his hard drive for his regular xbox along with all the games. it was a lot of fun. i've been contemplating getting a regular xbox used and doin the same thing.

Looks like modded XBOX can do NES, SNES, Genesis, and Master System... I'm wondering if it emulates perfectly... I'm guessing not... and it's nice to have those old school controllers in your hands. It's more of a nostalgia thing rather than having it all for free.

whatever you do, get Way of the Warrior for 3DO...it was a pretty awesome fighting game. I think it might've been on Jaguar too?

I used to have it on 3do... that system was so much fun... return fire was such a friggen blast too... i don't know why they don't do that up on xbox live arcade.

Yeah, playing emulators and such are only like half the fun of playing the real thing. It always works, and you don't have to blow in the cartridge before inserting! Boring.

lol, the ol' blow on the cartridge trick. i love it!
mike, we spent hours playing some of the old nes and snes games, and it felt just like the old school ones. sure the controllers were a bit bigger, but all you need is the directional pad and A and B.

I have the modded xbox deal with a few emulators on it. It works pretty well. You get just about EVERY game. Plus my xbox doubles as a media center. I watch all my TV and movies off my xbox.
If you still have an old xbox or can get one cheap they have software mods for it now so you dont even have to open the case. Not a bad deal for all that extra functionality

Question. If I have a bunch of AVI movies. Can I mod an xbox to play those AVI movies from a network PC? I want to put another media PC in the bedroom but the wife is putting her foot down on buying more PC parts...little does she know I'm getting a Core 2 Quad when the prices drop next month.

She made me move them out of the baby's room and into the basement
I guess it's a good thing b/c it is cooler down there. Although now the dehumidifier runs all the time.

I actually have two Sega Genesis's, one of the old version and one new version. I only have two controllers though that I want to keep. If you want it I'll bring the system with me tomorrow along with all that paintball stuff if you still want it
You can probably find controllers at a pawn shop or on ebay or something.
