With a Rubik's cube there are certain moves and combinations you can do to acheive things you want to do. Part of solving is knowing these moves/combos and being able to identify and quickly execute them. And besides, it's more of a parlor trick than anythingÔÇölike the kid that can recite pi to 3xxx digits. great, congratulations, you've acheived....who cares?

Thats a good point, but I'll stick to fixing cars. I seem to be able to make it look like i know something and do stuff, when in all actuality, I just stand around and look pretty in front of my toolbox.

Heh, I like how people think that somehow being able to solve a rubiks cube somehow measures some level of intelligence. I'd be impressed if that was the first time that kid had ever seen one...but once you've done it once, it's just a matter of move mastery.
