UFC Ultimate Fight Night Live tonight on Spike - WRXtranceformed - 12-13-2006

Starts at 8pm! There are going to be some really good fights.

I hope Sanchez gets his ass kicked, he's such a cocky son of a bitch. What sucks is they never match him up with someone that's going to give him a good challenge... Riggs is a decent fighter, he's a real heavy hitter but he's lost some really embarrassing fights to not so great fighters. It's probably going to be a field day for Sanchez =/

I'd like to see Josh Koscheck lose too. The pure-wrestlers are always so confident of themselves but get worked when they fight a well rounded fighter with hard hits and a good ground defense. We'll see what happens!

HAH he says before the fight that he thinks he can knock out Riggs?? Yeah RIGHT! He can't do anything but wrestle and ground and pound, just like Tito. That's why Tito isn't the champ anymore, and that's why hopefully Sanchez never will be either.

Dude I've never been impressed by Riggs. I've only seen him fight 3 or so times, but all 3 times have left me wondering what the hype is about. I would like to see Sanchez go up against some real deal players...he manhandles the mid level guys like Nick Diaz.

How about Franklin's last fight? GodDAMN. Silva tagged that ass (and nose) BAD.

YES EXACTLY! Riggs is such a bad matchup for Sanchez, I'll be really surprised if he pulls it out. IMO Sanchez needs to fight a world-class fighter like Matt Hughes before he gets a title shot at St. Pierre. It ought to humble him a little bit.

Holy fucking shit. They just said the name Kurt Pellegrino, talking about some guy this other guy beat. He wrestled for Point Pleasant in Joisey, and was nasty. My sister's boyfriend was his partner at some club, I think. That's nuts.

Heh, Sanchez pops a lucky hook when Riggs threw a punch and then drops the knee for the win. That fight was so unsurprisingly short. I was definitely not expecting the knockout, but they need to match Sanchez up against better fighters. Riggs has to be so embarrassed with that loss... like pretty much every one of his recent losses...

So Tonya and I got tickets to the Ultimate Fight Night Live last night here in Charlotte. Seeing the fight live was amazing. We ended up at the UFC after party at Strike City in downtown Charlotte and met and talked with Dana White for a while, met Kenny Florian and got some pics, etc. Dana is honestly one of the most down to earth people I've ever met, he was really really cool.

Such a fantastic night. Would love to go to another fight, but just like football sometimes I can see why it's nice to just chill and watch it at a bar. Even with good seats sometimes it's hard to see the fighters.
