Ride Recommendation (Front Royal, Luray & Surrounding) - Apoc - 11-12-2006 I'm not sure how many people actually have running bikes or how much longer the riding season is gonna last but here ya go. The section between G and K are just plain awesome. I actually think G thru I are better than 211 'cause it's a backroad that winds up and down the valley but that's just me. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q ... 6&t=h&om=1 Total loop is about 160 miles. 55 > 340 > Fort Vallet > Camp Roosevelt > Bixlers Ferry > 211
- .RJ - 11-12-2006 +1 - ScottyB - 11-12-2006 whoa, if you wanted to cut that short, that area in the left loop that cuts through the green state park section looks wicked - Apoc - 11-12-2006 That's Skyline Drive and the speed limit is 35mph. :? - ScottyB - 11-12-2006 Apoc Wrote:That's Skyline Drive and the speed limit is 35mph. :? oh woops. been a while since i was in VA, forgot it looks like that on the map
- .paul - 11-12-2006 when u planning this ride? Only issue IMHO is the leaves - i was back in clifton and some areas in hoodbridge friday and saturday - and the leaf amount was ridiculous, i lost the rear numerous times. - .RJ - 11-12-2006 .paul Wrote:when u planning this ride? We rode it saturday, no leaf issues - just traffic on 211 and the RC51 seat is some sort of torture device. - Mike - 11-12-2006 rgay, bellview is money for a ride now. lame john deleted our convo in the other thread... - .RJ - 11-12-2006 I'll check it out
