murderer on the loose - mpg9999 - 08-21-2006

Here at VT. Classes cancelled. My rifle is loaded. Check any news site, its on cnn and fox now.

- REED - 08-21-2006

well, thats a nice welcome to VT for all the freshmen

- Apoc - 08-21-2006

what's a murdered?

- CaptainHenreh - 08-21-2006

Fark scooped major news outlets on this one. Suspect (William Murva, 24) escaped from jail, (or institution?) blugeoned one officer and aide with (I think) paper towel roll holder, shot another officer with service pistol. (Glock 22, IIRC)

Motherfucker is dead if the cops find him. I bet he hides, then gives himself up...that's about the only way he's going to make it out alive.

The fallen:
Derrick McFarland
Cpl. Eric E. Sutphin

- Goodspeed - 08-21-2006

He wasn't a student right...some local kid that tried to rob a convenience store?

- BLINGMW - 08-21-2006

my mom (a prof at tech) and all her officemates have been on lockdown today, they're finally advising people to leave one building at a time in groups. She's back on the road home now hooray! Crazy shite. :?

You should see the number of poice out. I was stopped by a cop with an M4 while passing ramble road to get to 460. We are listening to the scanner and they had a possible sighting there. thats about 1/4 mile from where I work. They made us lock all the doors.

Yeah, the dude is as good as dead at this point, unless he plays his cards very, very carefully. Gonna take a good plan, a good lawyer, and some kind of insanity plea.

But it's probably going to be death by .40 S&W.

- Feersty - 08-21-2006

My brother was told to stay in his dormroom and wait for further notice.

live feed from police scanners!

- mpg9999 - 08-21-2006

They just said on the scanner that they got him in custody.

- CaptainHenreh - 08-21-2006

Yeah, got him cuffed and on the ground, calling for a evidence truck and ambulance for standby.

I'm impressed.

So anyway, back to boring work. *sigh*

well, if he played his cards right, he probably wouldnt be in this situation. hmmm, killed a sheriff in swova? "boy, i'm gonna watch you fry"

- CaptainHenreh - 08-21-2006

Excellent point.

Honestly, I applaud the professionalism and restraint that the arresting officers showed. They found him, cuffed him, very professional.

I fully expected him to not make it through the week alive.

- bassmangrammy - 08-21-2006

Sure it wasn't Marcus Vick?!

- Ginger - 08-21-2006

Man.. I bet the only thing worse than getting put in jail is escaping and getting caught. Then they put you back in jail for even longer. Well, of course, if you kill twp cops in the process they'll probably kill you rather than put you in the slammer forever.
