Selling the e39 540 (6spd) - e39540i - 04-24-2006 Heres bits of a generic ad(s) I have put up, let me know if anyone wants this or else its going to bavarian at the end of the week to meet its fate. First $3500 takes it! Damage estimate was right at $8K max for all new bmw oem parts, labor and paint. my 540 was nailed at intersection as mentioned in my e39 post; the title is clean, no frame damage occured. I have decided to sell for parts and undertake an e30m3 project or turbo 325. The car has been meticulously maintained, recently replaced various parts(valve cover gaskets, repainted valve covers, plugs, axxis pads, ecu eprom upgrade.......). Have matching 5th wheel, car is driveable(minus some wind noise); just received authority ecu upgrade and full custom fabricated exhuast/intake setup. If you have any further questions let me know, I am open to all reasonable offers, I need to sell ASAP. Pictures of damage may be seen at: http://community.webshots.com/user/e39540i -I have numerous other parts and maintenance items I can sell with the vehicle (new hubs, ps hoses, oem exhuast parts, fluids, etc); vehicle used syntec 5w30 4.5K intervals, have maintenance records from previous owner, all dealership serviced; redline trans/diff fluids, hella oem euro spec'd lighting package, umnitza dde chromium AE's w/ 8000K bulbs, dinan stage 1 suspension, UUC motowerks short shift and the list goes on). All tasteful, stock appearance, fantastic performer, not the slightest bit of sludge in engine upon taking off valve covers, cleanest pre '00 i have ever seen despite 113K miles, trans in excellent shape although synchro replacement is good idea given mileage, can refer to excellent/affordable resources. The m62 is clean and pulling strong! Interior is immaculate. Check out the pictures other album has various pictures of the vehicle before wreck used for random projects, couple interior shots included. Email me with questions/concerns wynnehl@jmu.edu or call me at 434 546 7491; the sooner the better as i am going to move it fast and bavarian recyclers and other yards are goign to get the heads up. -Hunter - CaptainHenreh - 04-24-2006 ATTENTION AARON. Holy shitfuck. - BLINGMW - 04-24-2006 hold the phone.... hock: is that thing driveable? (with replacement wheel obviously) it doesn't look that bad! hmmmm..... - e39540i - 04-24-2006 It is driveable, in addition I have two brand new front hubs, the infamous ps hoses and a few other stock parts, etc. If you want it I need to know soon or else Bavarian Recyclers takes it Thursday. Anyone interested in parts I may be able to pull a favor from dealership back home and save you some serious $. Need to know ASAP, -Hunter - e39540i - 04-24-2006 In addition, I have the matching fifth bbs wheel in the trunk; throw that on and its ready (to be loaded on a flatbed presumably) - Feersty - 04-24-2006 Why are you doing this again? I see you want to do another buildup. You getting insurance cake? - e39540i - 04-24-2006 I am considering an e30 m3 project but am picking up my buddys little 92 gti to scoot around in; just starting from a clean slate so to speak, as I like to dabble in various projects and switch it up pretty frequently - e39540i - 04-25-2006 SOLD - Feersty - 04-25-2006 Wow, did we keep it MM? - e39540i - 04-25-2006 BLINGMW was kind enough to hook me up with the sale, heading down to ATL to get the rebuild, gladly sacrifice a couple hundred bucks to send it to a good home. Now i just to sell the extra parts to minimize the loss and essentially im back to square one. Thanks again Bling' - BLINGMW - 04-25-2006 now we just gotta talk RJ into driving it down here this weekend 8) I really wanted to buy it, had it been a 528, I would have. Jess wanted it! This will go into my co-worker's eager hands, so we won't lose touch with it completely. With the help of the pile of BMWs at Strictly German, it'll be looking decent again in no time. I'll keep an eye on it for you for the few more weeks I'm here. - .RJ - 04-25-2006 BLINGMW Wrote:now we just gotta talk RJ into driving it down here this weekend 8) Hmm.... - e39540i - 04-25-2006 appreciate it; yeah the guy at dallas hollar just flipped his shit on me when i said i was going to sell for parts and wanted to drive it away; apparently eager to collect on my car, as he would not let me outsource any parts etc on which i get better price; something the shop back home who does better work lets me do. Anyways he said i couldnt drive a damaged car like that hit on the doors and despite my offer to sign waivers, etc he said hed call the cops and grew extremely upset, all the meanwhile I had yet to make a comment after the initial " i need to drive it to Mid Atlantic". To top things off with a little spite, he then said ohh yeah, well if youre going to do that you owe me a storage fee of $400! Unexpected given he was previously talking about how it was fine to park it there and hed cut me a break on labor, paint, etc given i help the guys at midatlantic and leaving it there while i figured things out was no problem..... Anyways, despite the frustrating conversation, I hired 3rd party flatbed to tow it to my appt tomorrow, ill swap out the wheel and try to make doors more secure, although they do shut, just not seal obviously. Moral of the story, thanks guys for lookin out for the car/dont get entangled with matters involving Terry at Dallas Hollar Ford (just based on todays experience; tempremental outrage is often not welcomed openly by customers) - e39540i - 04-25-2006 Actually, I think ill just leave it there; RJ just show up saturday and tell him your driving it to GA, shouldnt be a problem..... - .RJ - 04-25-2006 e39540i Wrote:RJ just show up saturday and tell him your driving it to GA, shouldnt be a problem..... IF (big if) I am driving it down to GA, I am not picking it up from that dealer - if they wouldnt give it to you, they sure as hell wont give it to me. Have you driven it at all since the accident? - e39540i - 04-25-2006 haha yeah man, not to worry i was kidding; ill have it picked up tomorrow and brought to my appartment in fox hills. If you want to look it over and make sure everythings cool, we can seal up whatever we can and try to make it as safe/comfortable as possible. Although it someone had a sizeable trailer and something ot pull it sure would make things alot easier; none the less yeah its feasible and shouldnt be too bad, just hope it doesnt rain - .RJ - 04-25-2006 *IF* I decided to drive it down, could you get it from JMU up to NoVa? - e39540i - 04-25-2006 Unfortunately, as i discussed with Ben, I cant really move it anywhere, Im out of town this thursday evening then back sat morn for accounting exam, then finals all the following week; I wanted to do this as a take it as is/where is deal. Sorry I cant be of more help or make things easier in that regard, I think fox hills is about as far north as its going at this point though - .RJ - 04-25-2006 Our plan for heading down south was to leave very early saturday morning - if you can get the car up to nova on friday I would consider it. If it makes it from hbg to nova, then it'll probably make it to atlanta. - Feersty - 04-25-2006 Can it take that length of a drive? |
