Skydiving - Andy - 03-21-2006 A friend and I are planning on trying out skydiving in May once work settles down a bit. The larger the group, the cheaper it is. The only catch is that you have to be attached to the instructor. Solo diving requires training which costs ~1000 bucks. Depending on how large the group is, it can be anywhere from 85-200 bucks a jump. WhoÔÇÖs in? - Sijray21 - 03-21-2006 when in May? Re: Skydiving - Dragon - 03-21-2006 Andy Wrote:Solo diving requires training which costs ~1000 bucks. Not exactly true Andy, most Skydive places offer tandem (attached) and accelerated free fall (two instructors jump out with you but you're not attached to them), but AFF typically costs about $100 more. Depending on how many people you get interested and the overall cost I'd love to join ya though. - .RJ - 03-21-2006 I'm interested ![]() Racing and Bikes arent dangerous enough....... - Dragon - 03-21-2006 $235 but they offer a student discount of $15, or $40 if there's 10 or more http://www.skydiveorange.com/ $226 - no apparent discounts http://www.skydivevirginia.com/ Tandem 1-5 people - $219 Each Tandem 6-10 people - $209 Each Tandem 11 or more - $199 Each http://www.skydivewestpoint.com/ $235 - no apparent discounts http://www.skydive-in-virginia.com/ Weekend: 1-3 STUDENTS - $195 each 4-9 STUDENTS - $185 each 10-19 STUDENTS - $175 each Weekday: 1-3 STUDENTS - $185 each 4-9 STUDENTS - $175 each 10-19 STUDENTS - $165 each Maximum Weight For Tandem Students Is 240 Pounds http://www.skydivedelmarva.com/ Skydive Delmarva is the one that several friends have gone through and it's pretty cheap for Tandem jumps - Sijray21 - 03-21-2006 thank god i still have my JAC card  - Andy - 03-21-2006 Alright Matt :!: Let's do this in 2nd or 3rd week of May.
