Garage Pics for me too! - PDenbigh - 03-15-2006 Since the XR is away getting a cage, I had to have something to do in the garage, so I redid it, completely. I'm really happy with the outcome, and it's not bad for a 1 car working garage! Big thanks to Alison for all the help! All the pics are here: http://www.85xr.com/garage/garage.htm And here's a teaser: - ScottyB - 03-15-2006 whoa, talk about space planning! lookin good. - .RJ - 03-15-2006 wow, looking good! come help me organize

Nice work! - PDenbigh - 03-15-2006 white_2kgt Wrote:woah, floor space! sweet! coating looks good too. how much of a bitch was it to clean w/ all the oil stains? It was amazingly easy. I got some quickcrete brand cleaner that was a degreaser, cleaner, and etcher in one. I presoaked the floor, then spread the cleaner over everything and it fizzed and bubbled. I then went over the entire floor with a brush, and paid extra attension to the bad spots. It covered really well and the paint acted like it didn't know any different. - .RJ - 03-15-2006 Where did you buy the floor enamel and shelving? I'm hesitant to do too much, given that I'm a tennant. - PDenbigh - 03-15-2006 .RJ Wrote:Where did you buy the floor enamel and shelving? Lowes - I got the cheap Lowe's brand (American Traidition) enamel and would reccomend the better stuff if you want it to last. I too rent right now, but I had trashed the floor so badly with fluids that I would have had to do something anyhow. I decided to do it now and enjoy it for a while. All the shelving was from Lowes. In a perfect world I would have been able to empty the garage for 72 hours, per the directions, before I moved back in, but logically I couldn't do that. Instead, I waited about 1 hour before moving in the heavy stuff. The paint did come up under the bike's tires, so I have some small repainting to do, but overall it held up really well given the drastically reduced timeframe. The place is so much nicer to be in now, it's amazing. It took me a while to get used to it, it was quite foreign. But now that I'm used to it I'm itching for a project. - .RJ - 03-15-2006 PDenbigh Wrote:But now that I'm used to it I'm itching for a project. Want to build an engine?
