Getting pumped for Hyperfest 2005! - NASAlaura - 06-09-2005 Here is the promo. It will take about 1 minute to save/download with High speed access. The 30 second spot will be similar but with a voiceover http://www.teckademicseast.com/?section ... sion&id=66 - G.Irish - 06-09-2005 That vid promo was pretty good. Needs some Honda Challenge footage though. For you younger MM guys, see if you can spot me in the video

Psshhh, SE-R cup is what it really needs, all three entrants... - GQROB - 06-10-2005 My car made it into(1:04) the video. Whoooowho! I think that it's Sharon driving my car through turn 5 under Evans instruction. Looks too slow to be me  Rob - Mike - 06-10-2005 1 min download? pfft 15 seconds. very good video laura! who did it? are we free to post around the interweb? - NASAlaura - 06-10-2005 Teckademics video footage of last year's Hyperfest and other drift events....some footage included on their Mischief 5 video already out in stores. Feel free to send out the link.....it is from their website. They are our major promoter this year. They are spreading the word about our event because they like the fact it is in a controlled environment and are devoting a huge portion of their next video to Hyperfest coverage. So even though their fan base may be different than what our NASA events usually attract, it will definitely introduce new people to our sport and what can be done legally and off the streets. So hopefully a win, win situation for all. Maybe they will want to start attending track events rather than spending so much money on all those accessories! Laura - G.Irish - 06-21-2005 Hey if they're starting to realize the err of their street jackassery I'm all for it *thumb up* - NASAlaura - 06-21-2005 If anyone wants to help spread the word about Hyperfest, they can do so by hyping it up on all the various forums out there. Our initial flyer distribution in May was 20,000 and we are still awaiting our next shipment which should arrive by Thursday. (Delays, delays, delays). For those who e-mailed me their address, I will forward flyers and posters along to be posted. Papa John's has signed on and they will be attaching flyers to 20,000 pizza boxes in the northern VA area. We have a foot patrol at various car shows over the next few weeks passing out flyers. Forums are another great way to get the word out, and although there are a lot of threads out there already, there are still lots of forums to go. If you can help, great. In order for this co-sponsored event with Summit Point Raceway to continue, this one really needs to be a success and we want to double our attendance from last year. Grassroots efforts and word of mouth tend to be the most successful I think. You can do a google search on car forums, etc and hundreds pop up. This is sort of what I have been saying on various forums: Anyone going to Hyperfest this year? The next one is July 16 at Summit Point. Racing, drifting, car shows, live band, fireworks, etc. And I give any other information pertinent to the forum. Here is the link: http://www.hyper-fest.com/ One avenue of forums which I haven't addressed are guitar/music forums. Paul Reed Smith Guitars is a major sponsor and they will have a huge hospitality tent and will be raffling off a very expensive, autographed guitar. They are the major provider of guitars to the "stars" and are responsible for helping us to get the band Theory of a Deadman. The PRS band will be performing during the day and a well known guitarist will also be there (I need to ask Chris his name because apparently a lot of people know it.) That information will be on the hyperfest website soon. Fox News and the Tony Snow Show (National coverage) will be taping at Hyperfest this year so that will be some great national coverage for us and many more magazines will be there this year as well. Here are some forums/links I have not yet infiltrated! any college forums of surrounding areas http://www.elantraxd.com/forums http://www.revlimited.com/modules/news/ http://www.g4tv.com/prestitial.aspx?t=& ... index.html http://www.sromagazine.com/ http://www.slideimplied.tz4.com/ http://forums.nicoclub.com/zeroforum?id=147 http://www.thetreesblurpast.com/events.html Any questions? laura@nasaracing.net. Also keep in mind that this event costs $20 to attend, so if you don't want to pay, you need to be either driving or working!!!! Only a few worker spaces left. I will be mailing out worker passes to get in this year. Laura Cobetto - .RJ - 06-21-2005 NASAlaura Wrote:Fox News and the Tony Snow Show (National coverage) Next year should be the Tony Roma's Show! - NASAlaura - 06-25-2005 Check out the video of Chris drifting the dually. Upper right on link. Pretty funny stuff. You know James Packer (Chief of Timing and Scoring) had to be laughing his butt off when security came up to Chris while James was filming. http://www.hyper-fest.com/ - Mike - 06-25-2005 for some reason that file is opening as text for me, which is a bad thing. anyone else? - NASAlaura - 06-25-2005 That'w weird because a lot of people are viewing it. Not sure why that would happen to you. I will let James know. L - Mike - 06-25-2005 my only guess is the space in the file name. it *should* resolve to the correct thing (browsers are kinda smart), but that is my only guess. - Maengelito - 06-26-2005 Mike Wrote:my only guess is the space in the file name. it *should* resolve to the correct thing (browsers are kinda smart), but that is my only guess. awesome vid... yeah the space in the file name was giving me problems too, but i was able to circumvent that problem. |
