Just Wondering - damnit458 - 01-03-2005
My grandfater decided to give my parents his 1990 Buick Riviera, which my dad and I drove back to VA from chicago last week. Anyway, both my dad and I are curious as to what we could get for the car. As said, its a 1990
Buick Riviera with only 18k miles on it. Its in great condition, fluids all seemed to be changed on time, no accidents, runs great. Bluebook value is only 1700. We both think it will run for many years to come.
Reason I ask is that I believe my dad is going to sell it, since we already have two cars, and since he refuses to give it to me. So, how much do you guys think we could get for it?

You could always put it on Craigslist for 2 grand. Why won't your dad give it to you? Offer to purchase it from him for 1500 dollars, payments made every month. It'd be a great DD.

wont work. I offered to take out a loan and pay for my own car, and then pay insurance once the car is payed off (since working 5 days a week at festival cant cover both) and he refused. He said he refuses to help me out with a car til senior year. But ive been over that.
You think 2 grand is a good price? Any other opinions about what we should ask for?
