hoMMecoMMing party donations - Chris - 10-16-2004 Anyone wishing to donate for our party please pay pal Dave at: mm_party@hotmail.com Please note that its for the party. Thanks to all who do this. - Mike - 10-16-2004 what in the hell? also i think the club acct shouldnt have anything to do with the party, but thats just my opinion. - Chris - 10-16-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:what in the hell? whats wrong with that? we've already stressed club funds do not go towards parties- this will be kept separate. - .RJ - 10-16-2004 Maybe you should use a separate paypal account.... In case you need to show bank statements for something. Maybe Dave's? Where the hell his that guy anyways
- Mike - 10-16-2004 what he said... if you ever apply for funding through the school they're gonna wanna see records. - WRXtranceformed - 10-16-2004 A friend and I were gonna roll by your party on halloween, I can donate something then if you want, or give ScottyB some cash when I see him in class~ - .RJ - 10-16-2004 Cash to officers is fine as well. I believe the last party we raised over $400 (and spent all of it). So, pony up bitches. I can do a big ass bucket of "the official drink" for about $100 (it will involve 9 or 10 bottles of liquor). - Chris - 10-16-2004 alright didn't think of that. Dave, can you set up another pay pal account. - Dragon - 10-18-2004 I'll give some money + dues at Summit this weekend. - Seantn1k - 10-18-2004 In previous years from my time as the treasurer, it doesn't really matter what we do with the account. We can store what we need there for anything we want to use it for, the school has never asked questions before nor would they be able to check out our billing statements. The only time that they would need to see our accounts is if we joined up with SGA and began receiving funding from them. If that was the case we would be required to show them our weekly expenses and profits. Which is followed by a yearly projection, that they need to see, of the clubÔÇÖs expenses and profits so that they can forecast the amount of funding that we would receive. We would also not be permitted to save up any money at the end of the year. Most clubs that (I've been in contact with) remedy that by using those remaining funds on a party at the end of the year. Said parties are not monitored by the SGA and would only be noticed if checks were written to MIKE's or an ABC store. So, we will at no point be questioned as to the use of our account. If you REALLY have an issue with it, have individuals purchase supplies, beer, etc and then write checks to said individuals. If that's STILL not good enough for you, withdraw cash from the bank and purchase your items that way. Creating another PAYPAL account will only lead to additional accounts that can be cracked and pilfered. I think maintaining the accounts we have already will more than suffice. So cough up cash bitches! Sean - Dave - 10-18-2004 i'll have a seperate account set up tonight for you fools to send partay money to, just hold on for a few more hours... - .RJ - 10-18-2004 Sean, it doesnt matter what we have to show the SGA if/when/etc... mixing funds (several hundred $$) for a big ass party in with anything affiliated with the club's account(s) is not going to be good. There's just no reason not to keep them separate. Dave - - G.Irish - 10-18-2004 Should we be getting the other clubs to pay up? - Dave - 10-18-2004 WE HAVE A NEW PAYPAL ACCOUNT FOR THIS PARTAY AND ANY THAT MAY FOLLOW: mm_party@hotmail.com don't send party funds to mmsports@hotmail.com so that we can keep everything seperated. Chris, can you edit your post at the beginning of this thread to prevent any confusion? Thanx - Chris - 10-19-2004 done |
