so hawt.

- ScottyB - 10-16-2004

black vettes are lovely. speaking of lovely black cars, i saw a brand new 997 porsche 911 while eating a poorly made burrito with Jay at qdoba. it had the ceramic brakes too!

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-16-2004

I still don't want one of those pieces of shit. I don't care that it's a "corvette" it still has a cheap interior.

Looks better than your 80's interior.

yeah, but it's just as cheap. Watch the top gear. Other reviews said the interior rattled... lol. My interior doesn't rattle (most of the time Smile )... Oh, and the body is made out of my grandmothers waffles. "Two words: leaf springs. - Didn't they have leaf springs in the horse and buggy days?"

- .RJ - 10-16-2004

Joke all you want about the leaf spring, it will handle a lot better than any Turbo II...

Why dont you go take a look at one yourself rather than relying on something you saw on the interweb?

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-16-2004

Hey, no one's debating how fast they are. That's cool that they're fast. I'd just prefer an M3 for the price. Hell... get one 'o them new lotussss.

You're right. I never mentioned it. Not like that would matter to you anyways Wink

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-16-2004

ok ok... i lose. they are pretty fast although they turned a slower time around the TG track than the EVO (IIRC)... be that as it may, it's still fast as piss, and if I had 50k to dump into a track car, i'd consider it. Seeing as I'll have to compromise between track and DD, I'd prefer something a little more comfortable for my 50k. cheap leather is teh sucks

I have yet to sit in a GM car with nice leather. I COULD BE WRONG. I'll look at one just FOR YOU RJ Smile

buggy and horse days according to bush...

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-16-2004

i didn't say it.

- Evan - 10-16-2004

You two are late for your OGBYN appointments

- ScottyB - 10-16-2004

i hate how on top gear when Clarkson pushes on the bumper (it flexes like crazy) he remarks at how cheap/crappy it is. is it not obvious that if the bumper didnt flex it would just crack or break outright? those guys on that show can be idiots.

and yeah, it has leaf springs. so what? its still an IRS and the basic design has still enabled the vettes to win Le Mans (although i admit that was with coilovers rather than the stock leafs).

if i had that money i'd never buy one but i respect the vette for what it is. pleather or not, its a hot car.

- .RJ - 10-16-2004

Heh, the C5 was a "silouette" car that just happened to have C5-shaped bodywork and a pushrod (7-liter) motor Wink
