Hey guys! I frequent a forum called TacomaWorld and I recently met a guy who is from around here on there. He informed me about a pretty cool event that's going on here in Harrisonburg at the Toyota place on the 26th. Now, it IS more centered towards trucks like Tacomas and such, but there's going to be a lot of cool stuff. The forum post about it there is really well done, so I'll link it, but I'll also summarize a little below.

-EAST COAST GEAR SUPPLY is coming with their famous clamshell bushing for 2nd gen tacomas along with other products

-CRUTCHFIELD vendor will be there along with competition sound vechiles

-food vendors including donut truck

-CAMPING on DEALERSHIP LAND friday and saturday night

-Cornhole Tournament with cash buy in

-possibly getting a group buy together on site and talking with vendor directly once enough people sign up.

- do it yourself in the shop with the lifts/ no dummies allowed
(he said you will need to sign a waiver and there will be someone there to operate lifts)

There will be judging for different vechiles
- best of show
-best off road vechile
-most armored
-biggest lift
-lowest truck
-best tuner
-best audio/dvd/interior
-best 5 lugger
-most flex
- loudest vechile

WINNER of these categories will have a professional photography session of their vehicle in steven toyotas photo booth.

I plan on going, but I'm not a big fan of going alone to meet a bunch of strangers from the internet, so if anyone wants to tag along, let me know!

Today was a blast! Sitting around the fire talking trucks and wheeling last night, then this morning, a ton of people from TacomaWorld came into work and talked it out with my manager. They ended up getting me off at 9AM! Kick ass! A day full of talking trucks and cars and life. Truck show, prizes, a dyno. There was supposed to be a Supra club coming, but they didn't make it.I got a ton of free stuff too!

I met this guy named Paul from North Carolina. He has a PA system behind his grill and a sub that would rattle out your fillings.

This guy has over $10,000 in this 86 4Runner. He has a crawl box and is running 5:29 gears I believe. Poor little 22re Big Grin

Yeah, I had to drop it in 4hi to get back there. Sure I picked up a few more scratches. It sure as hell sounded like I did. It was a bitch getting back out of there too.

They talked me into doing the grey wire mod (Allows me to use my electronic diff locker when I'm in 2wd) and the deckplate mod (putting a deck plate in my air box to allow more air flow.

They backed me up more on my choice of parts for my planned lift and they all agreed that the sliders I have picked out are good.

I also saw a cool idea for putting PA speakers behind my grill Big Grin

I was there and took a ton of photos. Really cool and great turnout! I watched a Corvair on the Dyno. Never seen so many off roading vehicles in one spot before. Big Grin
