9/7 Autocross: PCA @ Verona - BFisch06 - 09-04-2013
Current / prospective MM'ers:
MM introduced me to autocross and while not as glorious as road-course events, I thoroughly enjoy it. I plan to be there with the Sky and would love to see some MM folks there as well. I'm more than happy to offer ride-alongs to interested parties. The wife may be bringing the HHR, which would enable us to offer rides from campus.
*EDIT*: I forgot to mention all cars are welcome, even though it is a porsche event. :thumbup:
For those familiar with autocross, the PCA is a smaller club (13 people are currently registered) and that means more runs. I've attended 3 or 4 events with them to date and each time get 6 to 8 runs. :thumbup:
Cost to drive: $30 - ($26 if you register online by 6PM Friday)
Cost to spectate: $Free.99
Host: Porsche Club of America (Shenandoah Region)
Location: Verona, VA (20 minutes south of JMU)
Schedule:
- Registration/Tech opens at 9:30
- Drivers meeting at 11:00
- First car off at 11:30

Can't make it, but hope some MMers jump in on this.
BTW- Has the current administration worked on getting the college "showdown" together? And NOW is the time to contact Ray Schumin on deciding a mutually beneficial weekend for autox/car show weekend. Hope I don't have to hear from Ray for another year in a row that he would lvoe to coordinate same weekend activities but never even heard from MM.

Ray is signed up for this PCA event. No time like the present to come talk tot him. *cough* Garrett *cough*
Also, the only remaining BRR event at Verona is October 20th. Sept. 22 event is in Roanoke and the end-of-the-season charity event is going to be in Salem early November (the 2nd I think).

October 20th is the college invitational, but I havent seen anything with it...

From what I've heard Garrett has talked with him and was supposed to meet with him over the summer. Whether or not that happened I do not know.
