Perhaps I can clarify this question with a simple example:
Surprisingly, Dave is a lonely pirate one night. He wants to wear an eye-patch and get some booty. Cell phone is broken, all email servers are down, and Fedex/UPS/USPS have destroyed each other in a sudden delivery-service nuclear exchange. The only method of communication left to him is the lowly PM function on the MM board. But it's cool, 'cause now he can communicate AND send pictures of the MkIV to the evening's prospects. The predicament is here though - rather than PMing RJ, Evan, and Maeng separately to inquire about their mother's schedules, he'd rather just send a single PM with all of those son-pimps in the "To" section. But he can't. Maybe it's just a goof on the admin's part, maybe the software has DAVE_BOOTY_CALL set to "false", but he can't figure out why he can't send a PM to multiple recipients. And because it took some time to figure all this out, RJ, Evan, and Maeng have already booked their moms and Dave is left with a choice between Jacko and Ryan T.
