Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Sully - 05-31-2013 I thought unlimited was the designation of the 4 door model only and have never heard LJ....unless its the long wheel base I guess TJ would be that generation...I know nothing about jeeps other than liberty's suck And eat rear window regulators like its a feature. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - JustinG - 06-01-2013 Unlimited was originally the long wheels base ones. Then unlimited became the 4door. Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Jeff - 06-01-2013 JustinG Wrote:Unlimited was originally the long wheels base ones. What do Jeeps go for new? I wouldn't have guessed that thing was worth half what you're saying the KBB is. Or is this some super special model that's highly sought after? I know nothing on these things... educate. Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - JustinG - 06-01-2013 Wranglers hold their value like a collector car. A 15yr old wrangler still fetches like $10k Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Jeff - 06-01-2013 Mike Wrote:Jeff Wrote:KBB Retail puts it at $23,055. Justin once again beat me to the correct answer. Basically Wranglers in general hold their value like few other vehicles. This particular vehicle is rare in that they only Built the TJ Unlimited ("LJ") for three years from 2003-2006. There was no "Unlimited Sahara" back then so you did what was done here, order a sport with all the premium packages. This is a highly optioned unit with the hard and soft tops (the hard tops alone can go well over $1,000) and really low mileage. The lift kit is questionable in that for some people this adds value and for others is detracts. The Jeep had those Nexen 31in tires on it and I had to loose them for the 33's. That made the look and certainly adds value, that is over $1,000 in tires. I think it will bring the money in the right context, full KBB value would be tough to get in this case considering a new two door can be had around $24,000. Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Jeff - 06-01-2013 I forgot, stock number is 1MD1 and vehicle comes with a 3 month 3,000 mile powertrain warranty. We can do any VA DMV here in house as well as get a buyer setup with financing. Son I am... Exhibit A (Has both Rubicon & Sahara packages): Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Jeff - 06-01-2013 What you show in that picture is the "Sahara Limited Edition" package. There were 1000 of these built to promote a film, not a true trim level. The books show year to year the packages and the only options are Unlimited and Unlimited Rubicon (model year 05+). There are no Wrangler Unlimited with just the Sahara package. The standard Wrangler can have Rubicon with the premium packages, this is called "Rubihara." I should note that is an enthusiast term...not a true trim level :bootyshake: Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - fiveoh2go - 06-01-2013 ![]() In all seriousness..if this is still on the lot Tuesday when I'm off from work, I might slip by. Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Jeff - 06-01-2013 Lol, how long does it take you to find these gifs? Give me a call Tuesday, I'll post if it gets gone. Lots of people stopped to look at it today, no takers yet. Oh, as for strange Wrangler special packages I think the Tomb Raider one was the coolest.
Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - V1GiLaNtE - 06-03-2013 LJ Rubicon.. I lust over those.. This is a gorgeous LJ though. I imagine you'll find the right buyer soon enough! Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - BLAIR - 06-04-2013 Holy shit!!! I sold my 09 rubicon unlimited w/ miles for 27 grand! Car was loaded and stickered at 35k and it was 6 months old at the time! This just seems ridiculous!!!! Oh yea. It had under 8k miles!! Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - Jeff - 06-05-2013 What you had wasn't hard to find...this is. It is true a Craigslist search will show you several sub 100k LJ Unlimiteds in the greater DC area (Including a Rubicon or two) but what, 30+ JKUs? All the LJ's for sale around are still 16-18+k and they are all private sellers. I am a dealer, the car has a warranty and has more going for it (yes, even the Rubicons). Plus I may need to take a trade, as you know this all plays in to how dealers price cars vs how private people do. Plus, many people would rather have a TJ/LJ then a JK. You know, grunt "real Jeep" grunt and whatnot. Of course I am also open to offers, at this point there has been a great deal of traffic on it and I am confident it will find a home soon. I can't say I get it either. :dunno: *edit* what's the difference between a LJ and a JK? *double edit* oh, JK is newer, redesign, chassis different. Ok. The current two door JK is almost the same size as the LJ inside. Also, I wanted to point out that the JK's that "start at $23" don't have A/C or cruise. There are never any rebates on Wranglers (sometimes 500 at year end) and most places won't discount any more then they can make up on their processing fee. However the next level up (basic B package I call them) are still only like $24,500. Re: F/S - 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - Lifted on 33's - BLAIR - 06-06-2013 Not at all saying your asking to much or this isnt what they go for! Just saying its crazy!! I didn't mean to sound snippy. I agree they hold there value pretty crazy. Its like these Cummins RAM trucks, crazy what they can bring. |
