Who all is going?
I'll be there Thursday night in time for dinner -- Aaron is going to be teaching me the ways of Pace Car + Comp School on Friday... then Saturday/Sunday I'm driving Pace 1.
We oughta have some hotel space if students want to come down for the weekend.

I'll be there Friday afternoon through Sunday. Find me near the brandy new VBD car/trailer. If anyone needs a ride from the burg, I would be glad to take you. Rather ride with someone than alone. We're staying in one of the villas off of the uphill esses so as Jake said we might have room for anyone that needs floor space to crash. I'm super pumped for my first weekend at VIR! Bring on the carz, beerz, and shenanigans.

Yeah if you could check with Trevor that would be amazing. Technically the Best Western allows dogs....but it always makes me nervous taking her in there.

I plan on having a beer in my hand whenever possible. Trevor is finishing up his instructor class Friday and will be doing time trials Saturday and Sunday so I will be around the paddock.

Paddock space - I am claiming a decent spot this time! None of this rubbing elbows, can't-jack-up-your-car-w/o-scratching-another-car crap either. I know it's tight but we can do a little better than last time at Summit. Room for my truck+ trailer + racecar +1 HPDE car.
Don't put it past me to yank things out of the way if I can't fit this time. Have tow strap, will tow. ;-)

What are you going to tow out of the way? My race car? There is limited room no matter what. All of Packer's friends smushed us in last time at VIR. You either have space or you dont.
I know you were annoyed at Summit, but there is only limited space. If someone grabs a spot before you, I am not sure you have any jurisdiction to tow out other people's cars.....
If you have any suggestions, I will be there friday and can try to do what I can to make space for you. We have a hard enough time fitting MM people at VIR into those spaces, smushed on one side from packers friends, the other side by this huge stacker Ford Mustang trailer. Let me know if you have ideas, I sure would like to not be squished.

DJ, loose the attitude. We all want to be close to the action, however there are some that have reasons more justifiable than others. For me, it is being a NASA official that needs to literally run from Timing and Scoring to his car, and needs space to work on the car. It is not an unreasonable request, and it's also not directed specifically at you (unless you are Paddock Chief?). It is a request for cooperation and consideration in the event I can't be the first one to sit down during musical chairs. Take a breath and reserve your competitiveness for the race.

No attitude to "lose".
I was asking for suggestions and ideas; then informed you of the prior situation of which we experienced in July VIR. I am assuming from your response there are no ideas, but instead continue to ask for space (even though im not a paddock chief
). I will do my best to secure you a spot, but it is a little unreasonable to expect vast amounts of space in a desired location. Last time at VIR we were parking race/hpde cars 2 deep to fit in, it was the worst yet, but I got there late. Somewhat to be expected, I am just trying to educate you beforehand instead of being disappointed/your reaction at hyperfest.
